Game one took place in Fort St. John Friday night, which the boys won 4-1. Wyatt Gale put the Tracker Flyers up with a goal in the first period, and Tristan Henrickson made it 2-0 halfway through the second. The Barons began to make a comeback with just under five minutes left in the middle frame, but the home team scored twice in the third to cement the win.
The two teams made their way to Dawson Creek on Saturday for a tilt that had the Peace Region team hold the Barons off for a shutout. It was a team effort, as the six Tracker Flyers goals were scored by six different players. Points came off the sticks of Brysan Eklund, Ricky Bateman, who also earned two assists, Tyler Krane, Deon Leer, Jeff Heber and Kody McManus. Layne Hunter and Wyatt Gale also had solid games, with two and three assists each respectively in the 6-0 game. Goalie Michael Chute earned the goose egg in net.
The NE BC & Yukon Trackers end 2012 sitting in third place in the NAMHL North Black Division with 18 points.
