North Peace Secondary School volleyball teams looking for sponsorship for Provincials
The financial support would go towards the high cost of transportation and accommodations, which include approximately $2,100 for hotel rooms, $9,000 for a bus and $500 in tournament fees.
In totalling up all expenses, the team’s estimated total cost would come to approximately $11,600.
It’s an expensive journey for the athletes of North Peace Secondary School, who, in order to compete at the provincial level, must travel a farther distance than any of the province’s other schools.
Those interested in supporting the cause won’t go unrecognized, as in return for sponsorship, the teams are offering advertising on the school walls, practice jerseys, as well as signed team photos.
For more information on sponsorship opportunities or to express an interest in helping the teams, please contact the North Peace Secondary School at 250-785-4429. Emails can also be sent to the teams’ coaching staff, at jlovell@prn.bc.ca for the Girls team, or astefiuk@prn.bc.ca for the Boys team.
Both teams secured their trips to Provincials by emerging as tournament champions at this past weekend’s Northern Zone Championships, played in Prince George.
