Fort St. John real estate numbers still rising

Fort St. John sales are also up, with 671 properties changing hands, worth $214.3 million, compared to 572 worth $161.5 million in the first three nine months of last year. The average cost for a single family residential property in this city is much higher than 2010 and 2011 prices, at $353,862. By the third quarter of 2011, the average selling price was just under $320,000.

The average house price in Fort Nelson has rebounded from its second quarter drop, moving up to $328,906. 74 properties worth $22.5 million sold in the first three quarters of 2012, compared with 105 properties worth $26.7 million by the end of September 2011.

There are currently 405 properties available in the Energetic City, and 94 in Fort Nelson.
