NEAT to round up Fort St. John yard waste

Accepted items range from twigs, grass clippings, branches, and plants as well as tree trimmings. Kitchen scraps will not be accepted.

Organizers are asking that people please bundle or bag their items in paper bags or buckets, as all plastic must be removed before being accepted.

The roundup will be taking place in the North Peace Leisure Pool parking lot, Saturday, September 15, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

According to NEAT, composting programs can reduce landfills by up to 30 per cent.
