Jaws of Life used to rescue cement truck driver

Freeing the man was difficult, as the 2007 Mack Cement Mixer had rolled onto the driver's side. Deputy Fire Chief Curtis Redpath says firefighters used several tools, including the Jaws of Life, to eventually get him out. He was taken to the Fort St. John Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Fort St. John RCMP say they were unable to speak with him last night, so the cause of the single-vehicle rollover is still unknown. Alcohol and excessive speed have been ruled out as factors.
