Actor returns home for Summer Theatre School

The program will begin Monday, July 30, and will run for two weeks, wrapping up on August 4.

Along with the two weeks of seminars, Laboucane will also hold a free gathering for anyone interested will be taking place Saturday, August 4, being held at the Stage North space from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The three hour presentation, called "Inside the Actors Studio", will cover a variety of aspects involved in community theatre, while those in attendance will have the opportunity to pick Laboucane’s brain about acting, directing and any other questions pertaining to the acting trade.

Laboucane is no slack in the acting industry, as he was recently selected as the only B.C. theatre person out of ten Canadians to work with Stratford’s Shakespeare Theatre this fall. The selection is a huge honour, as only ten people are selected for this program per year.
