Telus crews repairing cable damaged by shotgun overnight

Telus says that cable still works, but the damage will cause it to deteriorate over time, causing an unpredicatable outage.

For a maximum of four hours between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m., local, long distance and 911 calls will be unavailable. Local emergency personnel have been warned and are taking appropriate measures.

If you have an alarm system connected to your phone line, Telus suggests calling your service providers to advise them of the service interruption.
