The Juniors continued to show improvement, with Player of the Game honours going to a variety of players, including Coleman Hunter, Shara Lynn Johnson, Angela Fraser, Seth Sutherland, Anaffs Deffs and Joshua Stone.

Four teams took to the court in the Senior Girls division, with the first match having Lube-X narrowly defeat Focus 26-22. Focus’ Player of the Game went to Joanna Burtch for her rebounding on both sides of the court, along with setting up some textbook screens throughout the game. Stacey Hansen took home the honour for Lube-X, after showing great vocal leadership to her teammates, as well as displaying excellent listening skills.

Next to hit the floor were D Bauer and Northern Valve, where D Bauer defeated their opponents 56-24. Karlynn Petersen was D. Bauer’s Player of the Game for her great hustle in both the guard and point positions, while the same title went to Northern Valve’s Rebecca Lessard for her aggressive pursuit of rebounds.

Moving into the two Senior Boy’s games, Sunlife defeated Lube-X by a single basket, 45-43. Lube-X nominated Cole Bausman as their Player of the Game for his great vision and distribution of the ball, while Sun Life designated Enrigque Fajemisin with the title for his keen interest in the game and solid display of heart.

The final game saw D. Bauer defeat Northern Valve 42-37. Jarod Lang was the Player of the Game for D. Bauer for his ability to listen to his coaches and follow directions, while Northern Valve awarded the title to Logan Harder, for his excellent display of teamwork.

Once again the Spring Basketball League will resume next Wednesday, May 23.
