Fort St. John mayor at inaugural B.C. Mayor's Caucus
Ackerman, along with the mayors from Cranbrook, Smithers, Penticton, Prince Rupert and Prince George, was instrumental in organizing the first ever event.
The caucus is intended to create a unified voice for municipalities, to help them get a bigger share of Canada's tax revenue through a new collective deal.
The inaugural meeting runs from today until Friday.
