Wrestlers grappling with national challenge

Making the trip across Canada were Taylor Mcleod, Braiden MacDougall, Devon Shelkie, Roylene Oliarny and Connor White.

It’s been an intense few months with regards to training and mental preparation for the above athletes, who earned themselves a spot in the national competition all the way back in January.

Categorizing wrestlers will work a little differently at the national event, as wrestlers will be put into categories based on their age, as well as their weight class. This is beneficial to the competitors, who won’t have to deal with the possible issue of wrestling someone much older than themselves.
