Friends hope to keep Peace Region man mobile

Mohart's mobility has decreased so far that he now needs a wheelchair accessible van to get around. However, according to one friend, upfitting a van can cost $30,000, in addition to the cost of the vehicle.

In order to keep Mohart mobile and independent, a benefit dinner and dance has been organized for Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Taylor Community Hall. The event will also include a silent auction, and all proceeds from the night will go towards the purchase of a van. In advance of the night of the dance, silent auction items and monetary donations can be given by contacting DoraLee at 250-789-3016.

In addition, donations can be made to a joint account in either Karma Pratt or DoraLee Pratt's names at the North Peace Savings & Credit Union in Fort St. John. All donations will be acknowledged in an advertisement in the Taylor Times after the event.
