B.C. North Peace River issued

10 to 20 cm of snow expected tonight This is a warning that significant snowfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

A trough of low pressure moving north through the central interior will collide with Arctic air surging south into the BC Peace River region tonight. As a result snow will develop late this afternoon over the region and become heavy at times tonight. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are expected by Sunday morning with the heaviest amounts likely to fall east of the Rockies. The snow will ease by noon Sunday as the trough weakens and moves into Alberta.
