Fort St. John Palliative Care Society to celebrate 15 years of caring

The event will be taking place Saturday, March 17 at the Totem Mall and will be running from 1 until 3 p.m.

Along with delicious cake, the free of charge event will also be an opportunity for the general public to gain a better understanding of the important service the Palliative Care Centre provides for those in need.

Cheryl Deakin, Chair of the Fort St. John & District Palliative Care Society, talked about the intentions of the celebration.

“We wanted to put our name out there because we haven’t done too much around the community, so we wanted to remind people why we are here.”

The event will also be an opportunity for the Palliative Care Society to share with the public their upcoming fundraiser taking place in May, known as the Hike for Hospice.
