Anyone interested in coaching the Competitive or Development Teams should submit their application to the FSJMHA no later than May 31, 2012, while those interested in coaching Recreation Teams should submit their application by Sept. 30, 2012.
According to the FSJMHA, interested applicants must have the ability to prepare and develop athletes in compliance with Fort St. John Minor Hockey, B.C. Hockey and Hockey Canada constitutions, policies and philosophies.
Coaches will also be asked to prepare practice schedules before ice times using the Hockey Canada Skills Development Manual as a guideline.
Prior to the beginning of the season, coaches will also be asked to outline in writing player and parent expectations and outline a specific dress code (Competitive and Developmental teams only).
Interested applicants must also be a positive role model to players and parents, and must also be able to work with other team officials and Coach Director of FSJMHA.
