Potential new taxi service looking for drivers

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Those interested in applying for the position must submit a resume, as well as show proof of a valid Class 4 Drivers License and their Chauffeur Permit, which can be acquired at City Hall for $35. A criminal background check is also required to get the permit.

Along with requesting potential future employees, the Passenger Transportation Board also asked for Thompson to lay out his employee training program and potential working conditions for his employees and their vehicles.

Thompson feels both these requests are positive responses by the Board in his attempt to open the city’s second cab service, saying that people in the past who have submitted the same application have never heard any of these requests before. He feels that the large amount of positive response from the public regarding the opening of another cab service has prompted the Board to strongly consider granting his request.

If interested in submitting a resume, please email it to bjwt1972@hotmail.com or call Bernard at 250-263-8299.

Currently, Thompson’s request to open another cab service in Fort St. John is being reviewed by the Passenger Transportation Board.
