This holiday season, all of our Supporters are entered to win an $800 Shopping Spree Giveaway!

According to Captain Ben Lippers of the Salvation Army, the non-profit organization is very close to achieving its goal, and currently is playing the waiting game as donation cheques continue to arrive via mail.

Lippers says he is confident the Salvation Army will reach its goal, and currently “is so close (they) can taste it.”

An annual part of the holiday campaign are the Red Kettles located city wide, which, this year, have raised over $86,000 towards their goal.

In addition to the Red Kettle Campaign, was the promise by Walmart stores Canada-wide to match dollar for dollar the money raised through the kettles on Dec. 26.

On that day, Fort St. John’s Walmart raised $2,237.86 and approximately $170,000 was raised across Canada.
