RCMP to be on the lookout for impaired drivers

Police will be out in full force, setting up multiple road stops, especially on side roads, where drivers feel they can elude the RCMP.

Not only will the amount of officers patrolling the streets increase, but so will their hours, as authorities will be extending their hours to work later into the night, as parties tend to last much longer on New Year's Eve.  

The RCMP are reminding everyone to plan accordingly for New Year's Eve and make sure plans are made for a safe ride home and that drinking and driving is a criminal offence.
