New Teller Machine less Automatic, more Personal

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The new machine offers live video-banking with an NPSCU representative, which combines the services of a teller with the accessibility of a banking machine.

The new machines allow the credit union to offer the longest banking hours of any financial institution in Fort St. John or Fort Nelson. "Personal tellers" will be available from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

The PTM can perform banking transactions such as deposits, cheque cashing, bill and loan payments, bank drafts and more.

McAfee adds "It’s great to be investing in technology and additional hires to provide better customer service for our members. The new PTM’s will reduce wait time and provide extended hours to our members that are second to none."

The NSPCU is the first financial institution in Western Canada to offer this technology and only the second in the country. The machine will be supported by a virtual service center located in Fort St. John.
