Alaska Highway closed north of Pink Mountain

At approximately 4:00 PM, Fort St John RCMP responded to a vehicle on fire approximately 10 km north of the Pink Mountain on the Alaska Highway. The vehicle was reported to be unoccupied.

RCMP would like to advise motorists to expect delays and possible closures to both North and South Bound traffic highway lanes while attempts are being made to control the fire. Further updates will be forwarded once the incident is under control.

The RCMP have no further details at this time.
