Deal brings new natural gas processing services to Montney play

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

210 million feet of new pipelines and processing capacity provided by the agreement will affect 370 million cubic feet of natural gas from the Montney area a day. These new gathering and processing services will be provided to Progress at Spectra's Highway, Jedney and McMahon facilities, as well as reactivation of the Aitken Creek Gas Plant.

The Montney play is a large shale gas deposit in Northeast B.C. and AB, where Spectra is already the leading provider of services.

Doug Bloom, president of Spectra Energy Transmission West, says, "Our depth and breadth of services in the region position us as a strategic partner in supporting Progress' success in the development of this major unconventional resource play."
