Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On Sunday afternoon, the bike club raced on the Cactus Trails, with Ferris finishing first in the 2 long lap event at 1 hour 5 minutes and 44 seconds. Ferris and Travis Yagelniski were neck and neck throughout the afternoon, but a stumble by Yagelniski on the loose dirt downhill portion allowed Ferris to take and maintain the lead.

Travis Yagelniski eventually placed second, finishing with a time of 1:07:56 and Gary Hilderman third at 1:14:40.

The day also included a shortened ‘Rogers Revenge’ race, consisting of a long and short lap. Roger St. Jean placed first in this portion of the day with a time of 1:02:57. Adam Currie was second at 1:12:56 and Davide Loro third at 1:16:12.

The next event for the Blizzard Bike Club will take place Wednesday, Sept. 28, as the club will race in another Cactus Mountain Bike Race. The race will start at 6:30 p.m. to compensate for the shorter amount of light in the evenings.
