Telus launches cell site in Pine Pass

Telus says an avalanche earlier this year expedited construction of this wireless site in order to allow road crews access to wireless services and 911 while working in the area.  Telus is currently evaluating how to make the $80,000 site more permanent.

Telus will invest $670 million across British Columbia this year to further expand and enhance its advanced wireless and wireline broadband networks. This wireless site is just one of more than 76 being installed across the province in 2011.
