Father and son share bike club victory

Elliot was one prominent name on Last night’s Blizzard Bike Club result sheet.

Sunday night, the bike club held its 40 kilometre Cecil Lake Circuit, with first and second place going to members of the Elliot family.

In a close five rider sprint finish, Jake Elliot crossed the finish line first, after pulling away last minute down the home stretch sprint.

Father Les Elliot would also finish the race in an exciting manner, passing Pat Ferris down the home stretch to claim second place, with Ferris finishing third.

Next on the docket, the Blizzard Bike Club will be racing this Wednesday, Aug. 17, in another Cactus Trials mountain bike race, beginning at 7 p.m.
