Charlie Lake fire protect meeting tonight
Another reminder for residents and business owners in the Charlie Lake/Grandhaven Fire Protection Area, that 7 p.m. tonight is the scheduled start time of the public meeting at the Fort St. John Pomeroy Hotel.
Â
It will feature a presentation from Dave Mitchell and Associates, the consultant conducting the review to help determine the new management and administrative model, for the delivery of fire protection service in the area.
However, it will also provide another public input opportunity on the issue, in addition to the recent Canada Post distributed survey, by the Peace River Regional District.
It also seeks public views on a number of related issues, including the level of PRRD authority over the department, taxation levels, fire inspections and the current service levels and fire department staffing.
The survey, which was accompanied by a short information statement regarding the Charlie Lake Volunteer Fire Department, can be returned at tonight’s meeting, in addition to regional district offices.
