The government’s of Alberta and British Columbia, would likely do well to focus on this story.
The Fraser Institute’s latest annual Global Petroleum Survey suggests Saskatchewan is now the top province in Canada for oil and gas investment.
Internationally, the province ranked 11th out of 136 jurisdictions this year.
The institute says Saskatchewan appeals to petroleum industry executives who want long-term energy policy stability, low royalties, and clear regulatory frameworks.
As for B.C. and Alberta, they’re not even in the top three among the provinces, as Manitoba has dropped from the top spot to number two, followed by Ontario.
