UPDATE – Pine Pass closed after bridge wash outUPDATE

UPDATE:  The Ministry of Transport as of Saturday night has not been able to provide a date or time for when Highway 97 will re-open in between McKenzie and Chetwynd.  When we have an upate we will post a new story.

Highway 97 through the Pine Pass is closed because of a bridge wash out.

The highway is closed 52 km south of the junction with Highway 29 in Chetwynd. At this time there is no detour around the area and no estimated time when the road will be updated.

The Ministry of Transportation will provide an update at 8 a.m.
