Last chance to see award-winning production

Friday evening is the last chance for Fort St. John residents to see an award-winning play.

Stage North will be performing its final showing of “FUEL”, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the North Peace Cultural Centre.

The show portrays one man’s battle with addiction and his struggles to get sober. What is unique about the production is that the show portrays the relationship between the addict and his addiction, through the perspective of the addiction, which is its own character within the play.

In May, “FUEL” received honours of Best Production, Best Director (Blair Scott), Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor at the Peace River Zone Theatre Festival. Next, the production will travel to Kamloops to compete in Mainstage, a provincial theatre competition, which takes place on July 2.

Tickets for Friday night’s show are available at the Cultural Centre Box Office, one hour before the show begins. Tickets are $20.

However, the production company has issued a warning that the show may not be suitable for children as it contains adult language and themes.
