The Child Development Centre has received a large donation from Energetic Services to officially name the new gym as part of Project Build-A-Fort.

Energetic Services presented the CDC with a $150,000 cheque, Tuesday, to name the facility the Energetic Gym.

Brennan Ross, president of Energetic Services, says the company decided to become involved with the project after he had a tour of the facility.

The gym provides space for children to learn team skills and enjoy physical activity, including improving their motor skills.

By the end of 2011, the CDC estimates it will have served more than 1,000 children.
