Unique sailing lessons available in FSJ

Summer is the perfect season to get your toes a little wet.

The Mobile Optimist Sailing School, will be offering beginner sailing lessons in Fort St. John from July 11 to 22.

The program offers educational and fun programs, that introduce students between the ages of 6 to 15, to the exciting sports of sailing and kayaking.

The five-day course will teach the basics of both sailing and kayaking through a variety of games and activities both on and off the water.

Students will be introduced to sailing in the school’s seven-foot “Optimist” sailboats, which are specifically designed for novice sailors.

The program will be instructed by professionally trained and Canadian Yachting Association certified coaches.

By the conclusion of the course, students will have learned the necessary skills to sail and kayak on their own.
