The City of Fort St. John is reminding property owners that they must still pay their taxes by July 4, despite the current postal strike.

The City says owners have various options available to them to pay their taxes. They can make payments by courier or in person at City Hall by cash, post-dated cheques or Interac. They can also make payments at most major banks or by telephone or web banking.

Eligible homeowners are also being reminded they must complete their N&R Home Owner Grant to have the grant amount deducted from their school taxes.

Anyone whose payment is not received by 4:30 p.m. on July 4 faces a 10 per cent late penalty.
