A Blueberry male is in serious condition after gunshots Wednesday

Wednesday, the Fort St. John RCMP responded to a report of a disturbance involving a 36 year-old male. The male ran with a firearm into the woods on the Blueberry First Nations Reserve.
When police arrived on scene, they discovered the male had ran down a steep embankment where he suffered a self-inflicted gun-shot wound to the chest. B.C. Ambulance staff then transported the male to the Fort St. John Hospital. The male was later flown out by air ambulance for specialized medical care.
The Fort St. John RCMP would like to thank the members of the Blueberry community for their assistance in both the evacuation and aid provided to the injured male.
