The Dawson Creek RCMP is currently seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspicious male.
On Monday May 30, at approximately 1:40 p.m. a 15 year-old female was walking on 107th Ave through Kin Park, heading towards 110th Ave. While walking, the female noticed an unknown male leaning against a tree with his hands in his pants, touching himself inappropriately.
Upon noticing the female, the unknown male waved at her, motioning her to come over to him. Upon refusing his request, the male took a few steps closer to the teenager, where she once again refused his request and continued to walk away from the situation. The man refused to take the hint, as he continually motioned for her to come over to him.
The teenage female proceeded to walk to 110th Ave and 9th St, where her mother was waiting in her vehicle. When she looked back to where the male was originally standing, she noticed the suspicious male starring back at her as he made his way through Kin Park.
The male then proceeded to cross the park bridge on foot towards 107th Ave and was witnessed entering into a two door car, possibly a Pontiac, tan or green in color, with unknown Alberta license plates. The suspect’s vehicle headed North down 111th Ave, driving through red lights on 110th Ave and 8th St.
The suspect is described as being a tanned male, approximately 5’10” in height, short hair or bald and clean shaven. Witnesses say he was wearing baggy track pants with white stripes down the side, a beige/brown t-shirt and was wearing a ball cap.
If anyone has information on this occurrence or on the suspicious male, please contact the Dawson Creek RCMP at 250-784-3700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
