Gravel truck on fire on Highway 29

The Fort St. John RCMP is on the scene of a gravel truck fire on Highway 29.
The truck caught fire shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday, 20 kilometres south of the junction with the Alaska Highway. Currently only one lane of traffic is blocked, while the company works to put out the fire.
The RCMP expects the road will be closed shortly in order for crews to put out the fire.
The truck is outside both the Fort St. John and the Hudson’s Hope Fire protection areas and therefore the company is bringing in a water truck.
