More rain is expected today, as the rain fall warning continues in the B.C. Peace.

The trough of low pressure that has brought significant rainfall to the northern interior will weaken today. Over the B.C. Peace River additional rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are expected by this evening with the highest amounts near the Rockies.

Over the Williston region the rain has eased. Roughly 15 to 25 mm has been reported across the region and significant additional amounts are not expected.

Monday morning has also brought smoke to the region. According to the Western Canada BlueSky Wildfire Smoke Forecast, the Fort St. John region should expect smoke from forest fires all day Monday. The forecast called for the smoke to move in Monday morning, but it should dissipate as the day moves on.

The forecast says the smoke is coming from forest fires in northern Alberta.
