Brush fire near the 271 road

The Charlie Lake Fire Department is on the scene of a brush fire near the 271 road and the Alaska Highway.

As of 10:30p.m. we have very few details about the fire as crews are still fighting the blaze. The fire is located along a steep river bank just east of the 271 road. There is one home near the blaze, but at this time, the home isn’t in danger.
