UPDATE – RCMP say the death is not considered criminal but the cause of death has not yet been determined. They say the Medical Examiner is awaiting the results of toxicology tests.
Police are also still waiting to notify all of the woman’s next of kin and will not be releasing her name until that is complete.
One person has been pronounced dead after being found lying in the snow outside a residence in Manning, Alta.
Manning RCMP say the woman was found on Sunday at around 9:45 a.m.
Police say her death is being treated as suspicious and the Peace River Major Crimes and the Peace River Forensic Identification Unit are investigating.
The woman is in her 20’s and is from the Manning area but police are not releasing her name until her next of kin is notified.
Police say they have not yet determined her cause of death but an autopsy is scheduled to take place in Edmonton.
