TransCanada Corporation has confirmed it has started flowing natural gas volumes in its Groundbirch pipeline from northeast B.C.
The Calgary Herald quoted chief executive Russ Girling, as saying the $250 million project started running shale gas volumes from the Montney play into Alberta’s extensive pipeline network late last week.
The newspaper also reported that the company has earmarked shale gas volumes out of this area to help boost capacity on its Alberta-to-Ontario pipeline.
