Update – Highway 2 closed south of Dawson Creek

Update – As of 10pm, Highway 2 is now open to single lane alternating traffic.

The Dawson Creek RCMP are reporting that Highway 2 south of Dawson Creek is closed.

The highway is closed because of a motor vehicle incident near the Swan Lake Provincial Park which is about 15km from the B.C./Alberta border.  There is a detour is place around the accident and RCMP state there will be long delays in the area.
