Another meeting is set to take place between City Council and local developers.

The additional meeting, discussing the implementation of development cost charges, was created due to a lack of turnout by developers from the originally scheduled meeting held on Nov. 8.

After the unsuccessful meeting took place, Council came to the conclusion that they would not progress on the issue with the information they had previously attained. Rather, a face to face meeting with developers would provide more sufficient information regarding this important issue.

The meeting will involve all members of Council directing their full attention towards the issues and concerns that developers have regarding the implementation of DCC’s.

Although, this is the final meeting between both parties and according to Mayor Lantz, regardless of the issues raised, DCC’s are inevitable for Fort St. John.

The follow up meeting between City Council and developers will take place on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
