Huskies Split Difficult Road Trip With 3-2 Win
The Fort St. John Huskies used up every ounce of energy they had and come Sunday afternoon, it was well worth it. Being with only 10 skaters for a back-to-back weekend trip against Whitecourt and Slave Lake, the Huskies had their backs against the wall.
Â
After dropping a disappointing 7-0 loss at the hands of the Wolverines in Edson, Alberta on Saturday night, the Pups were back in action on Sunday taking on the Slave Lake Wolves.
Â
Robbie Sidhu opened the scoring just over 5:00 minutes into the opening campaign. The Wolves answered back with two straight goals before the end of the 1st to notch a 2-1 advantage. That lead remained until the 3rd after a scoreless 2nd period where it was Glass and then Sidhu again to give the Huskies a 1 goal advantage.
Â
The Pups were able to hang on for a 3-2 final thanks in large part to Travis McLean in the Huskies net and his best friend as a couple of close chances from Slave Lake careened off the goal post.

You can catch the next Huskies broadcast on 100.1 Moose FM and energeticcity-beta.mystagingwebsite.com Saturday, November 20th with the pregame show starting at 7:45 and puck drop at 8:00 pm. Â
