The Fort St. John Flint Energy Bantam “B” Flyers hosted the Spirit River Rangers in an exhibition game Saturday at the Pomeroy Sport Centre.
The host team struggled for the first half of the game allowing the visitors a 4 goal lead before Brandon Howard, with an assist from Braedon Hickey got the Flyers on the scoreboard with 1:41 left in the second period.
7 minutes into the third, Hickey got the host team to within 2 with from a pass from James Bowie. Fort St. John’s Jarod Lang scored unassisted 3 minutes later to bring the Flyers to within one.
Unfortunately time ran out on the clock, leaving the Flyers down 4 – 3 to the visiting Spirit River Team.
The Flint Energy Bantam Flyers travel to Jasper, AB this upcoming weekend to take part in their first tournament of the season. Good Luck Flyers.
