Organization to receive conference revenue

A local organization has been chosen as the recipient of the proceeds from the 2010 Energy Conference in Fort St. John.

The Child Development Centre has been chosen as the recipient organization for the Legacy Project funding from the conference, says Fort St. John City Councillor Lori Ackerman.

However, Ackerman says the total amount to be given to the Centre won’t be known for a couple of months.

In 2008, the Fort St. John Hospital was the recipient of more than $55,000 from the Legacy Project. The funds went towards the purchase of a CT scanner for the hospital.
