The Fort St. John RCMP arrested a man for the second time on Wednesday after he failed to show up for his court appearance.

Christopher Darryl Munch was originally charged with Robbery and Uttering Threats, after an incident in Chetwynd in May.

After he was a no-show at his scheduled court appearance in Dawson Creek, the Mounties tracked him down at a residence in the 9100 block of 97th Avenue in Fort St. John. Upon seeing police, the 33 year-old attempted to flee the scene on foot. However, he was soon captured and is now facing additional charges of Obstructing a Peace Officer.

Munch appeared in court on Friday to face the original charges – stemming from the Chetwynd incident – plus the additional charge of Obstructing a Peace Officer.

He was remanded in custody and his next court appearance is now scheduled for July 7 in Fort St. John.
