EnCana seeks natural gas investors
By Energeticcity.ca staff
The EnCana corporation is sniffing out financial support, as it looks to expand its natural gas business.
The Reuters news agency reports that the energy giant is looking for up to $2 billion in investment from a wide variety of investors.
The story says EnCana is already hoping to double its natural gas production, largely based in Northeastern BC, over the next five years. But, the Calgary-based company is soliciting investors to speed up that process, or do it at a lower cost.
EnCana has already raised $900 million this year, including a major investment from the Korea Gas Corp, for a stake in the Horn River and Montney plays.
