Spectra Energy announced today it will build another Peace Region natural gas processing plant.

The 200 million cubic feet per day facility will be constructed in two phases west of Dawson Creek, and Calgary based Spectra says it is a response to customer demand in the Montney play.

The first phase, with a processing capacity of 100 million cubic feet, will be completed next year, and phase two is scheduled to be finished in 2013.

The company is also sending out signals of further growth in the region, saying overall BC natural gas production is forecast to double.
