Support Fort St John News

By Staff

The Fort St John RCMP were called to Bert Bowes Junior Secondary School Tuesday.

Just before 12pm, the RCMP received a call from staff at the school about a male refusing to leave the building. The male was not a student at the school. Once the RCMP arrived the male had left. The RCMP made patrols and were able to locate the male and resolved the issue.

During that incident, a caller to the school stated someone was in the school with a firearm. The caller wouldn’t provide any further information about the person or themselves. After a search, a firearm was not located inside Bert Bowes.

The RCMP are looking for help from the public in regards to this matter. If you have any further information, please call 250-787-8140 or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-222-8477.
