According to the Globe and Mail there are some residents in the South Peace, who are claiming they’re being harrassed and initimated by RCMP officers investigating the series of explosions targetting EnCana Corporation facilities.

An anti-terrorism unit is probing six explosions in the past nine months, including two last week, southeast of Dawson Creek.

The newspaper says some area residents are complaining of being interrogated up to eight times, and of being pressured to take lie detector tests and give DNA and fingerprint samples.

It quotes a Vancouver laywer with the BC Civil Liberties Associatin as confirming, he’s written the RCMP, asking them to stop harassing two his clients, and complaining they’re acting like secret poice creating a climate of paranoia and suspicion.

However, RCMP Corporal Dan Moskaluk is quoted as saying, the Mounties have not received any formal complaints, and are encouraging anyone with concerns, to come forward.
