Two separate fires caused an estimated 170 thousand dollars worth of damage to two buildings in Dawson Creek on Wednesday.
Just after midnight on Wednesday morning, a storage shed behind a plumbing shop was destroyed by a fire.
Dawson Creek Fire Chief Gordon "Shorty" Smith says the fire remains under investigation. He also estimates the damage to be around 70 thousand dollars.

Meanwhile, a trailer at the Mile 0 Trailer Park was also completely destroyed by a separate blaze at around 6:30 Wednesday morning.
Smith says the estimated damage to the trailer is roughly 100 thousand dollars. A male was at home at the time of the fire, but he escaped with only minor injuries.
The cause of that fire is unknown, and remains under investigation.
