Hundreds of people gathered on the Toboggan Hill behind the North Peace Secondary School on Wednesday, to watch the 2009 Canada Day Fireworks show in Fort St. John.
The show kicked off at 10:30pm with dazzling displays of color and light.
It was almost cancelled due to rain, but the skies broke for long enough for the show to go on.
