Rain fall in June half the norm

There’s now a chance that Fort St. John could get enough rain in the final week of this month, to surpass, 50 percent of the June average for this area.

Up to ten millimeters are in the forecast for today, with more tonight and in addition an updated Environment Canada website, now puts the monthly total through Sunday at 27.2 millimeters.

That’s primarily due, to the 12.4 received last Friday, which is now included in Environment Canada’s official running total, along with two on Sunday.

The June precipitation norm for this region, is 71.4 millimeters and we would get to half that amount with eight and half more today.

More importantly, we’ve already exceeded the 26.7 millimetres we got last June.
